Ghana Union Hamburg Hosted Insightful Community Meeting with Her Excellency Gina Ama Blay, Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany.
On Saturday, October 19th, 2024, the Ghana Union Hamburg, in collaboration with the Ghana Embassy in Berlin and the Ghana Consulate General in Hamburg, held a successful community meeting at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Hamburg.
The week also marked the last working week of the Ambassador in Germany.
The event, which took place from 2 PM to 5 PM, was attended by a diverse crowd of Ghanaians living in Hamburg and surrounding areas.
The meeting’s agenda focused on several key topics, including the introduction of the newly established Ghana Consulate in Hamburg, cooperation, and networking among Ghanaian organizations, as well as upcoming plans for 2024.
Her Excellency Ambassador Blay gave a warm welcome and expressed her support for the Ghanaian community in northern Germany.
One of the pivotal moments of the meeting came during the open Q&A session, where attendees raised various questions regarding dual citizenship and the administrative processes of the Ghana Embassy and Consulate.
Many in the audience were eager to clarify issues related to citizenship, passports, and consular services. The authorities, including Ambassador Blay and other consulate officials, addressed these questions in detail, providing clear and thorough explanations. Their openness and willingness to engage with the community were well received, with attendees expressing satisfaction with the answers provided.
In addition to administrative discussions, the event also highlighted plans for 2024.
The meeting concluded with a networking session, allowing participants to connect and explore opportunities for collaboration.
