1. Instances of drug consumption have been reported at parties held within the Vatican.

2. In 2015, a priest was suspended due to allegations of participating in a gay sex orgy. Two years later, another priest was removed from office for similar accusations.

3. Australian Cardinal George Pell faced allegations of child abuse in 2017. He was accused of abusing two men in the late 1970s and exposing himself in front of three boys in the 1980s. Cardinal Pell is currently facing trial in Melbourne, maintaining his innocence. Child abuse allegations within the clergy have been a longstanding issue, prompting Pope Francis to promise stronger action against such misconduct.

4. The Vatican Bank has been under scrutiny for possible involvement in criminal activities. The Institute for Religious Works (IOR), which manages the Vatican’s assets, has faced allegations of money laundering, tax evasion, and dubious financial transactions with the Italian mafia.
